A brand new, state-of-the-art hub for servicing luxury Princess motor yachts has opened following a £500,000 renovation at Turnchapel Wharf, Plymouth.
Princess Motor Yacht Sales, the oldest and largest distributor for Princess motor yachts, have built a comprehensive facility at Turnchapel Wharf to provide yacht servicing, maintenance and custom fittings to Princess owners. The new site includes a modern service centre, parts warehouse, 100m commercial pontoon berthing, a large showroom and brand new offices with waterfront views over the Cattewater in Plymouth, Devon. Discussing the new facility, Colin Capewell, Managing Director for Princess Motor Yacht Sales, said “Our investment has given us a dedicated hub from which all servicing and maintenance can be co-ordinated, resulting in an increasingly efficient service for yacht owners. Utilising the large concrete slipway, extensive pontoon space and travel hoist, plus ample space in the service yard we are able to carry out intensive maintenance work on-site".
The new facility is located at Turnchapel Wharf in Plymouth, Devon. The former MoD site has undergone a major transformation over the past two years into a modern marine business park. Leading international marine companies are now based at the site including Fugro Academy and Aquamare who benefit from waterfront offices, commercial berthing, indoor and yard storage, and a range of marine services.
Ryan Bonney, Site Manager at Turnchapel Wharf, has overseen the site's two-year transformation into a thriving marine business park: "Marine companies from around the UK are recognising Turnchapel Wharf as a premium location to be based. With a wide range of quality facilities on offer including waterfront offices, commercial berthing, workshops and warehouses, the reputation of the site is growing and more companies are being attracted to Plymouth."
