SeaRegs Training designed, wrote and taught the Riverside Safety Course, winning a Princess Royal Award for Thames Skills Academy
SeaRegs Training, a maritime training & consultancy based at Turnchapel Wharf, designed, wrote, and taught the Riverside Safety Course, winning a Princess Royal Award for Thames Skills Academy.
SeaRegs designed the course with valuable input from Tideway and London City Airport to aid safety along the banks of docks, water edges for construction operatives and port workers.
Delivered in conjunction with the Thames Skills Academy (TSA).
Held at their classroom and facilities in London, SeaRegs ensured that over a thousand people now understand the potential dangers of working near the water. The course offered practical training to help people stay safe should they (or their colleagues) fall into the water. The one day course included practical training in a pool. It focused on issues of falling and rescue from construction sites, dock and riverside edges, barges or working in and around waterways, rather than conventional safety training for vessels.
Currently, in the sixth year of the Princess Royal Training Awards, HRH The Princess Royal, President of City & Guilds, recognises and celebrates organisations across the United Kingdom which have demonstrated exceptional commitment to training and development.
The course is delivered in conjunction with the Thames Skills Academy (TSA).
